Permanent or temporary residence: a zone 3 permit is available to people with permanent or temporary residence in zone 3. It is valid only in zone 3, not in zones 1 or 2.

Is it worth parking in zone 3 and walking to the centre?
Yes, zone 3 is popular with people who work in the centre. At €0.70 per hour, 8 hours cost €5.60, while in zone 1 you cannot park that long at all (mostly 2 hours, 4 hours in some streets). Park & Ride (for example Dolgi most) is even cheaper.
What is the difference between zone 3 and Park & Ride?
Park & Ride (P+R) car parks are on the edge of the city next to bus stops. They are cheaper (€1.50 for 24 hours, including two LPP city bus rides on the same day), but you take the bus into the centre. Zone 3 is inside the city, outside zones 1 and 2.
