Parking zone 2 in Ljubljana (2026)

Zone 2 is the middle parking zone in Ljubljana: cheaper than zone 1 but still within walking distance of the centre. With a limit of 6 hours it suits longer visits, shopping and meetings.

Zone 2 forms a ring around zone 1 and covers the wider city centre. It is marked orange on parking meters.

  • Bežigrad (the part closer to the centre)
  • Šiška (the part next to zone 1)
  • Vič (the part closer to the centre)
  • Trnovo and surroundings
  • Part of Rudnik near the boundary

Resident permit for zone 2

Permanent or temporary residence: a zone 2 permit is available to people with permanent or temporary residence in zone 2. This is less strict than in zone 1.

A zone 2 permit is also valid in zone 3, but not in zone 1.
